Cuyahoga Falls -- The shift manager of a quick-service restaurant in the 900 block of Graham Road reported a man came in around 8:30 p.m. Jan. 14 and showed her a handwritten note on cardboard demanding money and then said he would "shoot up the place" if she didn't give it to him. The suspect gestured with his hand as though he had a weapon hidden in his clothing, police said, but no weapon was seen. The manager opened the cash register and handed him $45. The man left on foot, the manager said, however, a second witness saw him get in a car and drive away. Police described the suspect as an older, white male wearing a stocking cap and sunglasses. A description of the car was not available. Disorderly conduct Jan. 18 -- Noisy call. A 42-year-old Falls woman was arrested shortly after 10 p.m. in her Winter Parkway apartment and charged with disorderly conduct after she ignored officers' commands to turn down her stereo. Because she was intoxicated, the report said, she was taken to a detox center. Theft Jan. 17 -- Missing piece. A Chippewa Lake resident reported that someone stole a $100 satellite radio faceplate from his unlocked car while it was parked at a hardware store in the 300 block of Howe Avenue between 1 and 2 p.m. Jan. 16. Jan. 14 -- Tires taken. An employee of a service garage in the 600 block of Graham Road reported someone took several used tires and a 50-gallon drum of scrap parts and metal from the rear of the business at 7:45 p.m. Jan. 13. Estimated loss was $500. The case is under investigation. Jan. 12 -- Valuable cards. A 19-year-old Munroe Falls man was arrested and charged with theft after an employee of a department store in the 400 block of Howe Avenue caught him stealing four $30 pre-paid Internet gaming cards around 6:20 p.m. The cards were recovered. Breaking and entering Jan. 15 -- Parts taken. The owner of an auto parts store in the 1800 block of Front Street reported someone entered a locked fenced-in area on the property by removing a padlock by unknown means between 5 p.m. Jan. 14 and 7:45 a.m. Jan. 15, and took used auto battery cores. Loss was estimated at $650. Felonious assault Jan. 12 -- Woman injured. A 53-year-old Falls man was arrested and charged with felonious assault after his ex-wife reported he shoved her to the floor inside her home around 6 p.m., causing her right wrist to break and her head to hit a table.
