Cuyahoga Falls Police are investigating a robbery that was reported at about 2 a.m. Dec. 18 in the 2200 block of Front Street. A man told police a man he did not know used a knife or another sharp instrument to cut his neck while taking approximately $100 in cash from him. The victim had a 1-inch cut on the left side of his neck, police said. The suspect is described as a white male in his 20s, wearing a hoodie, and standing about 5-foot-9 or 10, according to police. Police said the man reported the incident at the police station at 9 a.m. Paramedics responding referred the victim to the hospital. Assault Dec. 20 -- Injuries reported. A Hawthorne Road woman reported an unknown suspect ran up her driveway with a baseball bat and engaged in a physical and verbal altercation with her 31-year-old son and her son's friend. She said they fought in the rear of the residence. Her son sustained a head injury allegedly caused by a baseball bat, the report said. The other man sustained a cut to his left thumb. Both men were treated at the scene and released by Falls paramedics. The suspect who was known to the victim left the area, according to the report. The incident happened at about 3:30 p.m. No charges have been filed, police said. Auto theft Dec. 16 -- Car reported stolen. A man reported someone stole his car while it was parked outside of his girlfriend's apartment in the 300 block of Hardman Drive between 8 p.m. Dec. 15 and 5 p.m. Dec. 16. Theft Dec. 20 -- Hubcaps taken. A man reported between 8 p.m. Dec. 19 and 9:45 a.m. Dec. 20, someone removed four hubcaps from his car while it was parked on the street in front of his 16th Street home. Loss is estimated at $360. Dec. 19 -- Credit, debit cards missing. A Falls woman reported someone stole two credit cards and one debit card from her sometime between 2 p.m. Dec. 17 and 8 p.m. Dec. 18. There were several purchases made on the cards. Dec. 18 -- That's not cool. A man reported someone stole a snow blower from the front porch of his home in the 2700 block of Northampton Road sometime between 5 p.m. Dec. 17 and 7 a.m. Dec. 18. The value of the property loss is $800. Dec. 15 -- Cash taken from dresser. A Sill Avenue woman reported someone took $900 in cash from a dresser drawer in her bedroom sometime between Nov. 13 at 9 a.m. and Dec. 14 at 10 a.m. Dec. 15 -- Hubcaps removed. A man reported someone removed four hub caps from his car while it was parked in the 2400 block of 12th Street sometime between 2:30 and 11 a.m. He said this is the second time this has happened. Disorderly conduct-fighting Dec. 18 -- Chill out. Police report a 43-year-old Falls man and a 42-year-old Falls woman were fighting in the 1700 block of Windsor Street at about 10:45 p.m. Both were arrested and charged with disorderly conduct-fighting. Both reported injuries. Burglary Dec. 18 -- Break-in reported. A man reported someone broke into his Portage Trail apartment through a bedroom window and removed approximately $4,000 in property and money between 8 and 11:30 a.m. The case is under investigation, and police have a lead. Domestic dispute, resisting arrest Dec. 16 -- A Falls Avenue woman reported her 34-year-old son was yelling, cursing and causing annoyance because he had been drinking. According to the report, the man then resisted arrest when officers tried to take him into custody for an outstanding warrant for failure to appear in court on an aggravated arson charge. Police said the man did not cooperate at the scene and "became combative" when he was taken to the city jail. He was eventually subdued by a Taser, the report said. He did not require any medical attention. He was charged with resisting arrest. Accident Dec. 17 -- Driver cited for hit-skip in crash. As a 20-year-old Akron man driving westbound on Howe Avenue entered the intersection for the northbound Route 8 entrance ramp on a green light, a 37-year-old Akron man coming from the Route 8 northbound exit ramp at Howe ran through a red light and struck his car. The 37-year-old then continued northbound up the Route 8 entrance ramp, the report said. The 37-year-old was stopped by police "minutes later in Macedonia," the report stated. He was cited for a red light violation, hit-skip and driving under suspension. No injuries were reported.
