Cuyahoga Falls -- The owner of a pizza shop in the 1900 block of Bailey Road reported that someone broke in between 10 p.m. Nov. 30 and 8 a.m. Dec. 1 and stole $3,800 in cash from a cash box under the counter. Police said entry was gained by breaking a window in the front door with an unknown blunt object. The responding officer noted that a window installer who was passing by stopped and said he could replace the glass for $200. Possession of drug paraphernalia Nov. 28 -- Four teens tagged. Police arrested four male juveniles, three from Cuyahoga Falls, ages 13, 14 and 15, and one from Olmsted Falls, 16, in the 200 block of Graham Road and charged them with possession of drug paraphernalia after they were found to be in possession of two suspected marijuana pipes around 3:20 p.m. The pipes were found while officers detained the boys during an investigation of a purse snatching at a nearby grocery store. None of them were charged in the reported theft, and all four were released to their parents. Theft Nov. 28 -- Purse snatched. A Falls woman reported that while walking in the parking lot of a Graham Road grocery store around 2 p.m., an unknown person grabbed her purse out of her cart and fled from the area on foot. The loss of the purse and its contents was approximately $300. Police are following leads. Nov. 25 -- The essentials. An employee of a Graham Road grocery store reported two females left the store at 2:30 p.m. with $22 worth of deodorant, makeup and whipped cream concealed in their purses. Nov. 23 -- USMC PC MIA. A representative of the U.S. Marine Corps based in Akron reported someone took a laptop computer from the ballroom of a Front Street hotel between 8 p.m. Nov. 21 and 9 a.m. Nov. 22. The $800 computer was being used to show a video during a Marine Corps ball, the report said. Criminal damaging Nov. 28 -- Window shot. A resident of the 2300 block of 25th Street reported someone shot at the front window of her house between 3 p.m. Nov. 21 and 3:18 p.m. Nov. 28 causing a bullet hole 3/8 of an inch in diameter. Damage was estimated at $350. Police have leads. Drug abuse Nov. 28 -- Pot found. A 23-year-old Akron man who was stopped and cited for speeding was arrested for possession of suspected marijuana on state Route 8 (southbound) at Howe Avenue around 2:30 a.m. Incorrigibility Nov. 27 -- Unruly teen. Police referred a Falls woman and her 16-year-old son to the juvenile division after she reported the boy was in violation of the rules of the household. Breaking and entering Nov. 27 -- Break-in reported. The general manager of a car dealership on Front Street reported someone broke into the parts office between 7 and 7:30 p.m. Nov. 26 by prying the door open. Once inside, the suspect pried and kicked his way into a locked file room, then pried open three filing cabinets and a safe where $40 was found missing. Total loss was estimated at $1,040. Disorderly conduct Nov. 26 -- Hi home, I'm honey. A 31-year-old Falls man was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct after a resident of Overbrook Road reported that a man was trying to get into his house at 3:10 a.m. The man, who lives in the next block, was intoxicated and confused about where he was, the report said. Accident Nov. 27 -- Car vs. pedestrian. A 73-year-old Falls man was taken to Akron City Hospital with possible injuries after he was struck by a car driven by a 43-year-old Falls man on North Haven Boulevard around 1 p.m. According to the report, the driver was traveling south on North Haven and the pedestrian was crossing the street from east to west about 45 feet north of 16th Street when he was struck by the car. The pedestrian admitted to police that he crossed without looking for cars and not in a crosswalk, the report said. He was cited for crossing outside a crosswalk.
