Cuyahoga Falls -- Police arrested two Falls men in separate domestic violence cases Oct. 29 and 30. On Oct. 30, a 30-year-old Falls man was arrested and charged with domestic violence after his live-in girlfriend reported he knocked her to the ground and struck her in the forehead with his knee at their home around 1:40 a.m. The victim had a knot on her forehead, the report said, but she refused medical treatment. The boyfriend had what appeared to be a self-inflicted cut on his forehead that required medical attention. The man has a prior conviction for domestic violence, the report said. On Oct. 29, a 31-year-old Falls man was arrested and charged with domestic violence after his live-in girlfriend reported he struck her in the chin with an open hand and slammed her into a door several times in their home at 10:15 p.m. The victim had a slight redness to her right jaw area, the report said. She refused any medical treatment. Assault Nov. 1 -- Attack on Cochran. A Falls man, 31, reported unidentified suspects punched, kicked, hit and bit him, causing several visible injuries in the 100 block of Cochran Road at 10 p.m. The victim declined medical attention. According to police, the man had returned to the scene of a party and retrieved his wallet when seven men attacked him over $20 that one of them owed him. Nov. 1 -- Non-injury report. A 21-year-old Falls man reported someone struck him on the back of the head then ran away around 6:30 p.m. at the Natatorium, 2345 Fourth St. The suspect is described as black male, 15-18 years of age, sporting a Mohawk haircut and a black Ed Hardy T-shirt. No injuries were reported. Oct. 30 -- Play nice. A Falls man, 23, reported a man he knows slapped him in the face during a disagreement over a game of pool at a bar in the 2700 block of Front Street. The victim did not require medical attention. The suspect was gone when police arrived. Oct. 30 -- Altercation at home. The administrator of a nursing home reported a man who was arguing with an employee punched him in the eye at 3 p.m. when he told the man to leave. Police said the suspect's girlfriend works at the home. Police are investigating. Telecommunications harassment Oct. 31 -- Unwanted texting. A Falls woman reported a man she knows sent her several threatening text messages on Oct. 30 from 9 and 11:15 p.m. The victim was referred to her service provider, the report said. Theft Oct. 30 -- Band instrument taken. A Falls High boy, 17, reported an $1,800 euphonium was stolen out of his locked car while it was parked at the school, 2300 Fourth St., between 6:20 and 10:50 p.m. In addition to the brass instrument, a case, school bag, mouthpiece and music were stolen. Total loss was estimated at $2,150. Oct. 29 -- Ladder missing. A resident of the 2100 block of Sutton Drive reported someone stole a 24-foot aluminum ladder valued at $200 from his back yard between Oct. 2 and Oct. 28. Oct. 27 -- Ready for winter. An Akron man reported someone stole a gas-powered snow blower valued at $1,000 from his mother's house in the 3000 block of Bailey Road between July 15 and Oct. 20. Impersonating an officer Oct. 29 -- False security. A Falls officer reported a man told him that he was a security guard at the scene of a disabled vehicle at Tallmadge Road and Clyde Avenue on Oct. 29 between 1:43 and 2:19 p.m. His statement was found to be false, the report said. The woman whose vehicle was disabled told police the man told her he was an off-duty police officer. The incident is under investigation, police said. Passing bad checks Oct. 28 -- Bounced check. The billing manager of a State Road pharmacy reported receiving a non-sufficient funds check for $674 at the store on Oct. 6 at 2:25 p.m. Attempts by the pharmacy to contact the person who wrote the check have failed, the report said.
