JONI LYNN GANDER 20-year resident of Cuyahoga Falls Joni Lynn Gander, 48, died June 10, 2009 surrounded by her family after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born on Nov. 7, 1960, in Akron. She graduated from Stow High School, Class of 1979, and attended Kent State University. She was a resident of Cuyahoga Falls for more than 20 years. She was employed by LD Carlson Co. for 18 years before becoming a stay-at-home mom 15 years ago. She was preceded in death by her father, Laurence Carlson and grandfather, Delmar Shrock. She is survived by her husband of 17 years, Brett Gander; children, Zac (Lauren Norfolk), Madison and Mikayla; mother, Marilyn Davis; sisters, Laurel (Jim) Laber and Andraea Carlson (Jonathon Vinocur) all of Stow; her grandmother, Rissa Shrock; her aunt, Donna Thompson; her mother and father-in-law, Carol and Ron Gander; sisters-in-law, Sandy (Bob) Heffelman, all of Cuyahoga Falls and Ronna (Randy) Smith of Stow; nieces and nephews, Abbey, Allie and Grace Laber, Jessica and Kevin Lord, and Rob and Kristin Heffelman; her lifelong best friend, Kathy Tighe; and many other family members and friends. Calling hours took place at Dunn-Quigley Funeral Home, 3333 Kent Road, Stow. There was a private interment.
