HENRY O. 'HANK' FORD World War II veteran Henry O. "Hank" Ford, 86, of Cuyahoga Falls and formerly of Stow, died June 20, 2009. Born in Smithfield, he was a longtime area resident, a graduate of Kent State University and a US Army veteran of World War II. Before his retirement in 1994, he was the former vice president and secretary of Commercial Press and president of Herriott Printing. Mr. Ford was a lifetime member commander-elect of the Stow American Legion and VFW, lifetime member of Smithfield Lodge 182 F & AM, and a lifetime member of AASR Valley of Akron, where he received the Meritorious Service award. He also served as past president and was a life member of the Stow Historical Society. Preceded in death by his wife Mary Louise (Lou) in 1983, he is survived by his daughters Vickie (Gary) Haley of Cincinnati and Edee (Roger) Gosnell of New Paris; and eight grandchildren. Friends may call June 28 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Redmon Funeral Home, where Pastor Jim Case will conduct a service June 29 at 10:30 a.m. Masonic service will be June 28 at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Standing Rock Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the GriefCare Place, 4499 Darrow Road, Stow 44224, Summit County Chapter of the American Red Cross, 501 W.
