EDMOND D. MCDONALD World War II veteran Edmond D. McDonald, 81, died at his residence June 10, 2009. Mr. McDonald was born in Akron and resided in Cuyahoga Falls for 31 years. He retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber, as a supervisor with 40 years service, was a Top 10 Supervisor and a member of the 25-year Club. He was a Veteran of World War II, having served with the U. S. Army Air Corps. Preceded in death by his sister, Ina Beeler, and brother, Willard McDonald, he is survived by his wife of 55 years, Julia; children, Edmond (Maureen) and Michael (Amy), both of Jackson Township and Jeffrey and Kathleen (James) Bisheimer, both of Cuyahoga Falls; grandchildren, Kierstin, Kevin, Tommy, Michael, Meghan, Nathan and Alec; great-grandson, Aidan, and brother, Glenn (Alice) McDonald of Virginia. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated in Immaculate Heart of Mary. A private interment for the family took place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. In lieu of other remembrances, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 15120 Collections Center Drive, Chicago, IL 60693. Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Comments
