LAWRENCE A. PEELMAN

World War II veteran

Lawrence A. Peelman, 82 died May 30, 2009 at his residence.

Mr. Peelman was born in Howbuck, Ill. and had resided in Cuyahoga Falls since 1957. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and worked for Goodyear Aerospace. He was Treasurer and President of the Garden Forum of Greater Akron and was a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.

Preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Ginger; brothers, George, Charles, Richard and Paul and sisters, Sandy and Lucy, he is survived by his children, Richard Peelman and Lynda Peelman both of Cuyahoga Falls; grandchildren, Jillian and Nicole Banks of Cuyahoga Falls; sisters Melvina Edwards, Rose Quartier and Dianne (Richard) Illinois; brothers, Alvin (Grace), Roland (Barb), Gerald (Mary), and Danny (Julie) Peelman all of Illinois, and many nieces and nephews.

Private services will take place at the convenience of the family.

Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
