From staff reports A Cuyahoga Falls man accused of robbing his former employer was charged with robbery and his case was bound over to Summit County Common Pleas. Glenn N. Messer, 21, of 14th Street, was arrested May 21 at his home by members of the Northeast Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force and charged with robbery, a second-degree felony. Shortly before 8 a.m. that day, a man dressed in dark clothing and wearing a black knit face mask approached a Norton gas station manager, who was walking out the back door to make a bank deposit, according to the Norton police report. He allegedly told her to give him the money, and then hit her, pulled her arms and knocked her to the ground, the report said. The man was able to grab her purse, but not the bank deposit bag, and ran to his car which was parked at a business next door, the police report said. The victim told police she believed the suspect was the man from Cuyahoga Falls whom she fired in February for stealing. Bond was set May 21 at $20,000 cash and was posted the next day.
