Duane and Lucille (Carson) Scott of Silver Lake celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary.
They were married Dec. 19, 1953, at the Church of Our Savior in Akron. Their family includes children Teresa (Dan) Lance, Sandra Stroup and Christopher (Victoria), and five grandchildren.
Duane served as Finance Director and Councilman for Cuyahoga Falls. He went on to work as Director of the Ohio Municipal Advisory Council, retiring in 1993. In retirement he served on Silver Lake Village Council. Lucille worked as a journalist for B.F. Goodrich until the birth of their first child.
Duane and Lucille are members of St. John's Episcopal Church in Cuyahoga Falls. Duane has been an active member of the Cuyahoga Falls Lions Club for 50 years.
The Scotts marked their 55th anniversary with family and friends.
