Jacob A. Vigansky, 19, of Scott Street in Cuyahoga Falls, pleaded guilty Oct. 6 to aggravated assault, a felony of the fourth degree, and two counts of aggravated menacing, a misdemeanor of the first degree, according to Sherri Bevan Walsh, Summit County prosecutor.
According to the prosecutor's office, after Vigansky's neighbor asked him to keep the noise down at approximately 1:30 a.m. Oct. 20, 2007. Vigansky retrieved his pit bull, Princess, from inside the house and dragged her by her collar across the street to the neighbor's house.
The prosecutor's office reported Vigansky held the dog up on her hind legs, shaking the dog until she became agitated, and telling the dog to "sic" the neighbor and the neighbor's girlfriend. Once the dog was barking and growling at them, Vigansky released her from his grip, and she attacked both of them. The two victims required treatment.
Both the man and his girlfriend were bitten "numerous" times and were treated by Falls EMS, according to Falls police, and officers found blood splatters outside of the victim's garage.
Vigansky will be sentenced on Nov. 12.
