Akron police have arrested a Falls man and are looking for an Akron woman authorities say was his accomplice in two bank robberies, one in Cuyahoga Falls and one in Akron.

On Sept. 26, police responded to a robbery reported at Key Bank, 1908 State Road, around 2:30 a.m. One of the bank's tellers told Falls police someone passed her a note that read, "Give me all your 50's and 100's." The teller handed over $650 in cash and the suspect left on foot around the west side of the building, a Falls police report said.

No gun was seen, Falls police said, and no one was injured. Suspects in the robbery are Angelica Stubblefield, 22, and John L. Brown, 52, said Falls Police Sgt. Gary Merton. Stubblefield, of Akron, committed the robbery, alleges Merton, and Brown drove the getaway car.

Brown was arrested by Akron police officers and charged with robbery Sept. 30 at his home on Prange Drive in the Falls, Merton said. Brown had been wanted by Akron police in connection with the reported robbery of National City Bank, 2380 Romig Road in Akron, on Sept. 19 around 10:30 a.m. Brown was taken into custody and was booked into the Summit County Jail, the Akron Police Department Web site said.

Brown was scheduled to have an appearance in Akron Municipal Court Oct. 2, but information on that appearance was not available at press time. Merton said a robbery charge against Brown for the Key Bank case is pending.

The day after Brown's arrest, on Oct. 1, Akron police detectives issued a warrant on a robbery charge for Stubblefield, with a last known address on North Howard Street in Akron, according to Akron Police's Web site. According to Akron Police, Stubblefield entered the bank on Romig Road Sept. 19 with a note and demanded money, and then fled in a car with Brown.

Stubblefield is a black female, 5'03" tall and weighs about 140 lbs. Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to contact the Akron Police Department, 330-375-2490.
