Chagrin Valley Little Theatre announces auditions for "Urinetown" (music & lyrics by Mark Hollmann, book & lyrics by Greg Kotis) and "Master Class" (by Terrence McNally) on May 17, 18 and 19. Director David Vosbugh and musical director Keith Stiver seek singing actors for the musical comedy satire "Urinetown." Auditionees will read from the script, and should come prepared with sheet music to sing, 16 bars each of an upbeat song and a ballad. Auditions will be at the theater, 40 River St. in Chagrin Falls on May 18 at 3 p.m. and May 19 at 7 p.m. Rehearsals to begin immediately. Performances are July 25 through Aug. 23. Director Harriet DeVeto seeks two operatic sopranos, an operatic tenor, and a piano accompanist who can also act for "Master Class," a drama about Maria Callas. Auditions will be at the River Street Playhouse, adjacent to the theatre at 56 River St. in Chagrin Falls, on May 17 at 2 p.m. and May 18 at 4 p.m. Auditions by appointment and additional information are available by calling the director at 330-835-9315 or 330-814-0512.
