CHARLES P. "SMITTY" SMITH Worked at Lawson's Milk Co. Charles P. "Smitty" Smith, age 84, died March 27, 2008. He was born in Gallipolis, and lived most of his life in the Cuyahoga Falls area. Mr. Smith served in the United States Army, was a member of the Broadman Baptist Church and retired from the Lawson's Milk Company after 34 years of service. He was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Phyllis, parents Grover and Georgia Smith, brothers Harold and Franklin Smith, sister Evelyn Boggs, and daughter-in-law Lisa Smith. He is survived by his sons Mike (Barbara) Smith and Tim Smith, both of Cuyahoga Falls, daughter Diane Lewis of Hartville, brother Carroll (Marian) Smith of Gallipolis, grandchildren Stacy (Bud), Jeff (April), Melissa (Jason), Sarah, Jeff, Samantha, and Jack, great-grandchildren Brittanie, Allyssa, Matthew, Taylor, Alex, Nelia, Kaleb, Gabriella and Landon. Calling hours took place at the McGowan-Reid and Santos Funeral Home. Funeral services took place at the Broadman Baptist Church, the Rev. Chris McCombs officiating. Interment at Northlawn Memorial Gardens. Memorials can be given to the church. McGowan-Reid and Santos Funeral Home, an Anthony Funeral Home, was in charge of arrangements. Comments
