Jeep stolen from State Road dealership, other vehicles damaged

An auto dealer in the 4600 block of State Road reported a maroon 2002 Jeep Liberty valued at $7,490 was stolen between 10 p.m. April 26 and 9 a.m. April 27.

Other vehicles on the lot were damaged and entered. One had a damaged tailgate. Another had a broken driver's side window, possibly by a lug wrench that was found inside. The case is under investigation.

Theft

April 27 -- No fare. A Falls woman, 44, was arrested at 10 p.m. in the 3600 block of State Road and charged with theft for allegedly failing to pay for a $22.35 cab ride.

Breaking and entering

April 26 -- Bikes stolen. A resident of the 2500 block of Seventh Street reported someone entered his unlocked garage between 4 p.m. April 25 and 5 p.m. April 26 and took two bicycles valued at $440.

Assault

April 27 -- Hard-headed approach. A 37-year-old resident of Bailey Road reported a man he knows head-butted him at 3 p.m. near the soccer field at Bolich Middle School on 13th Street, giving him a cut on the bridge of his nose. The victim declined treatment.

Criminal mischief

April 27 -- Which came first? Two girls and a boy, were arrested and referred to the Youth Division after they reportedly egged a house in the 200 block of Roosevelt Avenue at 2:45 a.m.

Criminal damaging

April 26 -- Vandals overhead. An Akron woman reported while she was traveling north on state Route 8 at Portage Trail, a large rock or similar object was thrown or dropped from the overpass onto her SUV, shattering the sunroof window. Damage was estimated at $200.

Disorderly conduct

April 26 -- Arrest. A 39-year-old Falls woman was arrested at 1:50 a.m. at a hotel in the 1400 block of South Main Street and charged with disorderly conduct. The report said she was so intoxicated she could barely speak.

Proof of rabies shots

April 25 -- Dog issue. A 46-year-old Falls Avenue man was cited for failure to show proof of rabies vaccination for his dog. The community service officer was following up on an April 20 dog bite incident.

Accidents

April 24 -- Honda vs. Honda. A 16-year-old Akron boy was cited for failure to yield the right of way following a crash at 5:24 p.m. The young driver, operating a 1995 Honda Accord, pulled out of a driveway in the 200 block of West Steels Corners Road and struck a 2008 Honda Civic driven by a 33-year-old Stow man who was traveling east. Both vehicles were severely damaged. Both drivers were possibly injured, but neither were hospitalized, the report stated.

April 24 -- Pontiac vs. Pontiac. A 48-year-old Akron woman was cited for a stop sign violation following a wreck on Riverview Road at 6:30 p.m. Driving a 1997 Pontiac Grand Prix, on Ira Road, the Akron woman pulled out from the stop sign at Riverview and hit a 2007 Pontiac G6 being driven by a 25-year-old Akron man. The woman was transported to Cuyahoga Falls General Hospital with possible injuries.
