Write a Will Day
In conjunction with Leave a Legacy and as a service to its patrons, the Peninsula Library Foundation invites patrons to attend Write a Will Day on May 12 from 9 a.m. to 730 p.m. Area attorneys, who are qualified in writing wills, will be available to meet with patrons to write simple wills (assets of less than $338,000 including insurance) for those interested. This service is free but since space is limited an appointment is necessary. Each appointment will be 30 minutes long. Contact Randy Bergdorf, Director, to set up an appointment or for more information. Upon registering, participants will be sent a questionnaire to complete and bring with them to their meeting with the attorney. These sessions are strictly confidential. Portage Lakes Rowing Association's Learn to Row program starts May 13. The program is Sundays from 7 to 9 a.m. and/or Tuesdays from 6 to 8 p.m. until July 29 at Craftsman's Park, 4450 Rex Lake Drive, Akron. Limited spots open and registration is required. Hudson Presbyterian Church and Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy are partnering together to bring this important event to the community. This international choir, comprised of orphaned and disadvantaged children from several different countries, will be performing at the Hudson Presbyterian Church, 250 W. Streetsboro in Hudson on May 7 at 7 p.m. The community is encouraged to attend this concert event. The choir will perform again on May 8 at 9 a.m. atCuyahoga Valley Christian Academy, 4687 Wyoga Lake, Cuyahoga Falls. Their high-energy and inspiring program will feature songs in both Englishand native dialects, as well as personal testimonies.
