New books hot off the press: "Days of Infamy" by Newt Gingrich and William R. Forstchen, "A Wolf at the Table" by Augusten Burroughs, "A Deadly Paradise" by Grace Brophy, "As the World Churns" by Tamar Myers and "The Lost" by Roberta Kray. Newly released DVDs on the shelf this week: "27 Dresses," "The Golden Compass," "I'm Still Here" and "The Orphanage." Sunday matinee special Make plans to see Indiana Jones and "Raiders of the Lost Ark" on May 4 at 2. Feel free to bring refreshments and other items of creature comfort. Monday night mysteries If you are interested in the exciting and diverse mystery genre, attend the Monday Night Mystery meeting on May 5 at 7 p.m. This month's discussion will be on Perfume by Patrick Suskind. Internet basics It's never too late to learn how to use the Internet. On May 6 at 2 p.m., you can learn basic computer skills as well as how to use the World Wide Web. Registration is required. A day at the seaside Victorians took to the waters with abandon at seaside resorts. On May 6 at 7 p.m. you can hear more about those golden days of "bathing," souvenirs and summer promenades with Victorian experts Laura and Al Loew. Registration is requested. All about rain gardens A rain garden is an attractive, landscaped area planted with perennial native plants which don't mind getting "wet feet." On May 7 at 7 p.m., join Gene Easter of the city of Cuyahoga Falls to learn why we need these gardens, how to install them, find the right location and planting and maintenance. Intro to e-mail This class teaches you everything you need to know about e-mail. On May 13 at 6:30 p.m. learn how to set up a free e-mail account, send, receive, reply and forward e-mail messages. Energy tapping Energy tapping works by "tapping" with two fingers on different meridian or acupressure points using certain sequences to balance the body's energy flow.
