Top students from Cuyahoga Falls High School will be attending the Business Professionals of America (BPA) 2008 National Leadership Conference, "Find Your Fit," in Reno, Nev. on May 7-11. Cuyahoga Falls chapter members Aimee Mercer and Carl Burton will join more than 6,000 other conference delegates from across the nation to participate in national-level business skill competitions, workshops, general sessions, and the national officer candidate campaigns and elections. "The conference will be the culmination of two school years worth of business workforce education and training which members of the local chapter of Business Professionals of America at Cuyahoga Falls have received," said chapter adviser, Beth Hulme, who teaches the administrative office technology course. "Aimee is a natural when it comes to desktop publishing. She loves creating brochures, buttons, menus, etc. Aimee is full of talent and plays a major role in the creation of all our marketing materials for recruiting purposes," said Hulme. "Carl is a teller at the Tallmadge Circle branch of FirstMerit Bank and is very knowledgeable when it comes to banking and financial services," said his teacher, Yvonne Federonick.
