DID YOU KNOW ... ? The library recently acquired a new database that enables patrons to look up the value of their antiques. Price It! Antiques & Collectibles is the most comprehensive antique and collectible pricing tool in the world. This simple-to-use online resource delivers more than 20 million realized prices, as well as more than 10 million images and 125 searchable categories.

Located on the corner of Third Street and Broad Boulevard in Cuyahoga Falls, the library is open 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday.

at Falls Library

New books hot off the press: "Friday Nights" by Joanna Trollope, "The Whole Truth" by David Baldacci, "Wicked City" by Ace Atkins, "Buckingham Palace Gardens" by Anne Perry and "A Good Yarn" by Debbie Macomber. Newly released DVDs on the shelf this week: "Charlie Wilson's War," "Cloverfield," "Before the Devil Knows You're Dead," "Lars and the Real Girl," "Deepak Chopra: Happiness Prescription."

'Mr. Magorium's
Magic Emporium'

On April 27 at 2 p.m. the whole family will enjoy Dustin Hoffman as Mr. Magorium who owns the most amazing store in the world where all the toys literally come to life. When the boss decides to retire, the shop throws a tantrum and all its wonders begin to cease. Now the manager, the accountant and a loyal customer must work together to save the emporium by finding a little magic within themselves.

Women in control
of their retirement

Don't miss this educational workshop exclusively for women on April 28 at 6:30 p.m. Become prepared for the unexpected and take control. You will learn to overcome obstacles faced during retirement, how to apply simple and practical strategies to build your perfect retirement and how to achieve financial security, protection and freedom. Focus on the economy

There is so much focus on the economy that the Milestone Center wants to keep you informed and help you separate fact from fiction. On April 29 at 2 p.m., learn how you can avoid losing most of your 401k (403b or IRA) to taxes, find out if you qualify to benefit from a 0 percent tax rate in 2008 and time Social Security payments to work for you, not against you. 'High School Musical'

Make sure you catch the screening of High School Musical on April 29 at 2 or 6 p.m. East High Basketball star Troy Bolton and math-whiz Gabriella Montez meet at a New Year's Eve party at a ski lodge over Christmas Break. Here, they take part in a karaoke. They discover they have a great chemistry between them and end up exchanging numbers. A week later, Gabriella's mother is transferred and Gabriella begins classes at East High in Albuquerque, N.M., where Troy sees her in homeroom.

Spring Book Sale

The Spring Book Sale will be May 2 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and May 3 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Come and browse through our large selection of gently used books, paperback, children's books, records, tapes, movies CDs and puzzles. Don't forget the Friends presale (for Friends members only) on May 1, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. You must have a current Friends membership to attend. Memberships will be for sale at the door.

Red Cross blood drive

On May 5 from 12:30 to 6 p.m. the library will be hosting a blood drive in the Sutliff Meeting Room. Please call 1-800- GIVE-LIFE to schedule an appointment. All blood types and walk-ins are welcome.

Internet basics

It's never too late to learn how to use the Internet. On May 6, at 2 p.m., you can learn basic computer skills as well as how to use the World Wide Web. Registration is required.

A Day at the Seaside

Victorians took to the waters with abandon at seaside resorts. On May 6 at 7 p.m. you can hear more about those golden days of "bathing," souvenirs and summer promenades with Victorian experts Laura and Al Loew. Registration is requested.

All about rain gardens

A rain garden is an attractive, landscaped area planted with perennial native plants which don't mind getting "wet feet." Built in depressions, they are designed to capture and filter storm water runoff from rooftops and driveways.

On May 7 at 7 p.m., join Gene Easter of the city of Cuyahoga Falls to learn why we need these gardens, how to install them, find the right location and planting and maintenance. Registration is requested.
