Falls High student competes for Findlay scholarships

Chrissy Zimmerman, a student at Cuyahoga Falls High School, participated in The University of Findlay's Scholarship Competition Day on March 15.

Zimmerman is the daughter of Sue and Bob Zimmerman of Silver Lake. Zimmerman's activities include National Honor Society, Latin Club, Spanish Club, band, cross country and track.

Zimmerman was one of 135 students from around the country invited to compete for merit scholarships worth up to $5,000. High-ability students were selected based on high school grade point average and ACT or SAT scores.

The students were welcomed by Dr. DeBow Freed, president, who congratulated them on their academic achievement to date. Students then completed a written essay and were interviewed by university representatives.

Scholarship winners will be announced in the near future.
