My 49-year-old son suffered a traumatic brain injury in October 2006. Since that time he has been unable to maintain employment and he cannot drive a car. His only means of transportation was his fairly new bicycle. Recently, when he was riding his bicycle on Hollywood Avenue, he fainted and fell to the ground. A good Samaritan stopped to help him and convinced my son to stop struggling to get up and lie still. He took off his coat and covered my son and then called 911. We did not get the man's name so we could thank him. When EMS arrived, it was decided that it would be best to transport my son to the hospital where he stayed for a number of hours while they gave him fluids intravenously because he was extremely dehydrated. The unfortunate result of this incident is that my son's bicycle disappeared when he was taken to the hospital. He did return to the Hollywood area and asked the kids out playing if they saw anything, but they did not. If anyone knows where my son's bicycle might be, please contact me.
