Cuyahoga Falls General Hospital's Foundation Board will host California Dreamin,' a wine-tasting and dinner featuring renowned winemaker Jim Clendenen, at 7 p.m. on April 26 at Papa Joe's in Akron.

Clendenen opened his winery Au Bon Climat in Los Olivos, Calif. in 1982, and since then he has received acclaim for its Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc and Pinot Gris. "Food & Wine Magazine" named Clendenen "Winemaker of the Year" in 2001. In 2007, he was inducted into the James Beard Foundation's "Who's Who of Food and Beverage in America."

At the event, Clendenen will lead guests on a tour of Au Bon Climat's finest wines. The wines will be paired with entrees from Papa Joe's menu

Tickets for the evening are $500 per person; proceeds will benefit the hospital's Osteopathic Graduate Medical Education Endowment Fund. Interested attendees should call 330-971-7409 by April 11.
