Broadman Baptist Church Broadman Baptist Church, 350 E. Bath Road, hosts the following programs and services: On Sundays, fellowship takes place at 9:30 a.m., followed by Life Impact classes at 9:45 a.m., and worship service from 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. On Wednesdays, there is a fellowship meal at 5:30 p.m., followed by worship and prayer service at 6:30 p.m., and discipleship from 7 to 8 p.m. (various age group classes). Bring a Neighbor Day is March 30, with a worship service at 11 a.m. and a potluck meal following. Redeemer Lutheran Church Redeemer Lutheran Church, 2141 Fifth St., has worship services at 8:45 (traditional) and 11:15 a.m. (contemporary). Sunday school and Adult Bible Hour will take place at 10 a.m. Breakfast will be served from 8 to 11 a.m. in the church basement. Menu includes eggs, bacon, hash browns, fruit, danish, juice and coffee. A free will offering will be taken and proceeds will benefit the Redeemer Youth Group. Portage Trail Extension, announces several programs and services. The church is hosting an indoor rummage/craft show on April 19 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tables are available for $10. To reserve a table, or for more information, call Dawn at 330-628-9048. The church is having its 2008 All You Can Eat spaghetti dinners. An alfredo sauce will be available, as well as extra meaty and marinara sauce. The cost will be $7, which includes spaghetti, salad, pie, bread and a drink. Dinner will be served on April 11 and May 9 from 5 to 7 p.m. Northminster sponsors a non-denominational Christian youth club, the Pioneers, which gathers at 6 p.m. Thursdays for fun, learning, crafts, music and snacks. Participants can earn badges in Bible study. Community members can support the church's youth programming by recycling. Newspapers, magazines, catalogs, junk mail and envelopes can be deposited in the recycling bin. The Northminster Craft Guild meets at the church on the third Wednesday of each month from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Attendees should bring their current project, a sack lunch, and a friend. Bailey Road, hosts Bible study for classes of all ages at 9:30 a.m. and a 10:45 a.m. worship service every Sunday. The church also offers a "Just for Christ" event from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Sundays which includes music, games, Bible study and snacks for pre-kindergarten aged children through the eighth grade. A new contemporary worship service is also scheduled to take place on Sundays at 7 p.m. On Tuesdays, Cub Scouts meet at the church at 6:30 p.m. On the first and third Tuesdays of every month, "Happy Hands" sewing and craft group meets at 12:30 p.m. at the church. On Wednesdays, choir practice takes place at the church at 7:30 p.m. On every other Thursday at 6:30 p.m. the Girl Scouts meet at the church. The Christian Women's Fellowship meets on the fourth Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. The group is studying the book "Bad Girls of the Bible" by Liz Curtis Higgs. First United Methodist Church in Cuyahoga Falls "Crucified" is a musical passion drama presented at First United Methodist Church, 245 Portage Trail, Cuyahoga Falls, by the 45-member Epworth Youth Choir at the church on March 30 at 7 p.m. in the church sanctuary. Also on the program will be a variety of anthems, all a part of the program the choir has presented in churches in Ohio, Kentucky and Tennessee in their week-long concert tour during Spring Break. A free will offering will be taken to help defray expenses of the tour. Child care will be available. The church is wheelchair-accessible. United Presbyterian Church United Presbyterian Church offers two distinct styles of worship. The traditional service starts at 8:30 a.m. and the New Creation contemporary service starts at 11 a.m. The educational hour is between the two services beginning at 9:45 a.m. with small group ministry for all ages. Child care is available on Sunday morning. Parking is available on church property. All are welcome. This Sunday, March 30, is a follow-up to the Sunday of the Resurrection last week with a focused message on the disciple Thomas. PrayerLab is scheduled for April 1. PrayerLab is an opportunity to pray and to be prayed for. Anyone can come to the church sanctuary any time between 7 and 8:30 p.m. This will also give participants a chance to engage in discussion about how to have an effective prayer life. The format is open, with no fixed agenda or liturgy, so as to be Spirit-led. The church is located at 2819 Hudson Drive in Cuyahoga Falls. Pilgrim United Church of Christ "Yes, Lord, I Have Sinned But I Have Several Excellent Excuses," is the topic for discussion in Pilgrim United Church of Christ's new adult Sunday Class beginning March 30 at 9:30 a.m. This book by author James Moore will offer many Sundays of fruitful discussion. One need not be a member to participate. Just come to Pilgrim's Rev. Greene Room and join the discussion. Adults who do not wish to take part in the book study may either attend a Bible Study in the Pilgrim Library or adjourn to the Heritage Room for a hot beverage and silent meditation, both of which are also offered at the 9:30 a.m. time. The Pilgrim Youth also have a Sunday School program at this time presented by Pilgrim's C.E. Director, Marilyn Freeman. The theme for March 30 through May 4 will be "Living Like Easter People." The youth will be discussing the Emmaus Journey, the connection between the acts of the Lord's supper, and how to tell others of God's love for everyone. Luke 24:30-31 will be the memory verse for this group of lessons. Sunday School for all ages meets from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. Following the 10:30 a.m. worship service on April 6, a speaker from Hospice will be at Pilgrim and present a program called "What to Say to Sick and Dying People." This Lay Visitation Training is open to all but prospective participants are requested to RSVP to Pilgrim so that a light lunch can be planned. The youth from Pilgrim UCC who will be going to the Ohio Conference Summer Camps will host a Krazy Kamp Auction April 13 after the morning worship service. The money from this project will help defray the camp cost for the youth. Pilgrim's singles group will enjoy chili, bread, and socializing April 13 at 6 p.m. in the social hall. This is a non-denominational group that welcomes all singles ages 30 to 65. A donation will be taken to cover the cost of the food. Also, this will be the last Sunday the Mission Committee will collect goods for the Harvest for Hunger Canned Food Drive. This is a great opportunity to support neighbors and the local community. Drop boxes for the canned goods will be available by each of the nametag boards. Bethany Buckeyes is an informal group of men and women who are at least 50 years old. The group meets the first Friday of every month and celebrate with food, games and laughter.
