Cuyahoga Falls Police are looking for the man who stole an 83-year-old woman's purse and car around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Acme store on State Road, then struck her with the car as he escaped.
The woman was transported to Akron City Hospital by Cuyahoga Falls EMS and was admitted to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
According to police, while the woman was backing her car out of a parking space, a white man walked up to her and told her she had struck him with her car.
While speaking to the woman, the man reached into the vehicle to grab her purse and a struggle over the purse began, according to police.
Police say the man got the woman out of the vehicle and then stole her car. When the suspect left the parking lot, police say he hit the woman with the car and then struck another vehicle in the parking lot.
The car is described as a black 1994 Chevy Impala four-door with Ohio plate number AX85MK. The car may have damage to the front right portion of the vehicle, according to police.
If anyone has any information, call the Cuyahoga Falls police detective bureau at 330-971-8334.
