Letter: Says Falls business is not an 'eyesore'

I am a neighboring business owner in Cuyahoga Falls and grew up with the Mason family, who has also been educated, is currently paying city and state taxes, employing local people and sustaining a growing family through a privately, locally-owned towing company in Cuyahoga Falls. I find it rather disturbing that our Summit County Council member John Schmidt (District 2) refers to B&B Towing as an "eyesore ... a blight on the landscape" ("County aids city in improving downtown property," Cuyahoga Falls News-Press, March 2, Page 14).

The beauty, not blight or eyesore that I recognize, is through the eyes of the Mason family and the pride they feel to be a vibrant part of this city that they call home.

The true beauty of this small business is in the Mason family, which has remained loyal to its community by providing a service that gives them purpose and meaning.

This family has a devotion to helping others in need, including the Cuyahoga Falls Police Department.

Somehow, the recognition of beauty needs to be enlightened to our leadership.
