An Americana Drive woman was arrested at 1:30 p.m. March 8, according to the police report, and charged with child endangering after her 2-year-old nephew was found outside in a snowstorm. A passer-by called police when he saw the boy outside by himself. The boy reportedly had been in the parking lot of his aunt's apartment for at least 15 minutes. The boy was OK and did not require treatment. The 28-year-old woman told police she didn't know the boy had left the apartment. Pleading guilty in Cuyahoga Falls Municipal Court, she was sentenced to 180 days suspended, $150 and court costs. Breaking and entering Restaurant burglary. Police reported a restaurant in the 1600 block of State Road was broken into between 8:30 p.m. March 7 and 8:15 a.m. March 8. Someone entered the restaurant through a roof heating and cooling vent, entered a locked office and attempted to open a safe. Vending machines at the entrance to the restaurant were damaged. Damages were estimated at $8,000; approximately $100 in coins were taken. Police are following up on leads. Window broken. A restaurant in the 1900 block of State Road was broken into between 3:30 p.m. March 7 and 6 a.m. March 8, the owner told police. Entry was gained by breaking a window. Nothing was taken. Damage was estimated at $100. Police are investigating. Cash register snatched. A Tallmadge Avenue pizza shop was entered between 10 p.m. March 5 and 10:08 a.m. March 6 through a broken front window. The cash register was taken. Loss was estimated at $250; damages, $200. Police are following up on leads. Missing person Found same day. A man told police March 8 that his 20-year-old daughter had left their home on Curtis Avenue Feb. 21 at 7 p.m. and has not returned. The father said this is "unlike his daughter" and she didn't take anything with her. Later that same day the woman was found at a friend's house. Auto theft Key, car gone. A Hardman Drive woman told police March 8 someone took a spare key and drove off in her 2008 Toyota Corolla worth $22,000 without her permission. Police later arrested a 29-year-old man of the same address, charging him with theft of motor vehicle. Locked car stolen. A Canton man reported March 8 that his 2000 Chevy Malibu was stolen between 8:30 p.m. March 7 and 8:20 a.m. March 8 from the parking lot of a restaurant in the 1600 block of State Road. The vehicle, which was locked, is valued at $5,000. Police are investigating this case, which is believed to be connected with the restaurant burglary above. Aggravated menacing With a hatchet. A Winter Parkway man reported at 11 a.m. March 9 someone he knows threatened him with a hatchet during an argument. The case was closed with no arrest, police said, and prosecution was declined. The man was referred to the prosecutor. Theft Shoplifters. Police responded at 1:12 p.m. March 9 to a theft reported<FEFF> at a candy store in the 6200 block of State Road. It was reported $28.32 worth of lip balms was taken by four customers. Still open, the case was assigned to a detectie. Forgery I.D. Theft.rguerite Avenue woman reported March 7 that someone between 8 a.m. Feb. 7 and 8 a.m. Feb. 11 used her 20-year-old son's checking account number to make $64.95 in purchases. The case remains open with leads being followed up on by police. Deception to get drugs Caught in the act: Two men from Rittman were arrested at a pharmacy in the 2000 block of State Road after they allegedly<FEFF> tried to get drugs with a forged prescription. The pharmacy had been warned by a doctor that they may see forged prescriptions from his office. The men, age 26 and 23, were charged with deception to obtain drugs and complicity to the above charge, respectively, both fourth-degree felonies. Drug paraphernalia Drug-related charge. A 45-year-old Berk Street man was arrested at 2:51 p.m. March 6 and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. During a traffic stop Bailey and Front streets, police found a pipe used for smoking marijuana. The man also had a warrant for his arrest from Munroe Falls Police Departmnt. Disorderly ct Behaving poorly. A 51-year-old Maplewood Street man was cited at 7 p.m. March 8 for disorderly conduct by intoxication. The report said the man was found by police lying face down in the snow while his wife tried to pull him up. Police gave him a ticket and called a cab that took him and his wife home.
