A 20th Street man reported Jan. 30 that around $1,165 worth of property was stolen sometime between 8:40 a.m. and 6:20 p.m. someone broke into his apartment and stole $1,165 worth of miscellaneous property. The front door had been forced open causing damage to the door frame. Assault Feb. 2 -- Juvenile punched in face: A Third Street woman reported that sometime around 11 p.m. juveniles she knows harmed her 15-year-old son by "jumping" him and punching him in the face. She also reported that her son's friend was also punched while trying to help her son. Both victims suffered redness and swelling of the left eye are of the face, but did not receive treatment form Falls EMS. Attempted assault Jan. 29 -- Customer throws drink, newspaper at cashier: A State Road gas station cashier reported that at 8:30 a.m. a customer threw a soft drink on him and a newspaper when he was checking his identification to purchase cigarettes. No injuries were reported. Burglary Feb. 1 -- Widescreen television stolen: A Buckingham Gate Boulevard woman reported that someone entered her apartment sometime between 5:50 and 10:10 p.m. and stole her 32-inch high definition widescreen television valued at $800. Someone had reportedly entered through the front door with a key. There were no signs of forced entry. The incident is still under investigation by police. Criminal trespass Jan. 30 -- Man not welcomed on property: A 32-year-old Cleveland man was arrested and charged with trespassing at 5:38 p.m. after a security employee for a Bucholzer Boulevard retail store said the man entered the property after having previously being warned that he was not welcomed there. Police say the man had previously been found stealing from a Cuyahoga County retail store of the same company. Disorderly conduct Jan. 31 -- Man arrested while allegedly intoxicated: A 42-year-old Peninsula man was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct/intoxication at 8:14 p.m. after police reported he was passed out on the side of State Road and Seasons Road, alarming passers-by. The man was also creating a risk of physical harm to himself, the report states. Forgery Feb. 1 -- Fraudulent money order detected: A Howe Avenue payday lending store employee reported that an Akron woman at 3:25 p.m. attempted to cash a fraudulent money order in the amount of $850. Theft Jan. 29 -- Pills stolen: A Seventh Street woman reported that someone removed around 40 Aterol pill tablets from a pill bottle located in the kitchen of her residence. Police say the woman believes guests who had been visiting her home may have taken the tablets. Jan. 30 -- Work not completed after payment: A Treeside Drive woman reported that she paid $1,175 to a bathroom contractor as a down payment on Jan. 19 to remodel her bathroom and since that time she has been unable to make contact with them and no work has been completed. The case is still under investigation by police. Jan. 30 -- Wallet stolen: A Norma Street woman reported that someone between 3 and 4:30 p.m. stole her 16-year-old son's wallet from his pants from the locker room at Cuyahoga Falls High School while he was at sports practice. The estimated total loss is $51. Feb. 1 -- Juvenile arrested for alleged theft: A 16-year-old Akron male was arrested and charged with theft after police reported he stole an X-Box 360 video game at about 7 p.m. from a Howe Avenue department store valued at $29.99.
