More than $2,000 in property reported stolen from home

A 28-year-old female reported that sometime between Aug. 1 and Aug. 3, an unknown person entered her Prange Drive home with no signs of forced entry and stole property estimated at $2,107. The victim is willing to prosecute the perpetrator, the report stated.

Drug abuse

Aug. 2 -- Man faces charges: Police reported a 26-year-old Talbot Street man was arrested charged with possession of a plastic bag containing four grams of suspected marijuana, a ceramic pipe and three to 15 milligram oxycontin pills. The man was located in his truck at the corner of 15th Street and Crest.

Criminal Mischief

Aug. 2 -- No suspects in incident : An Oakwood Drive resident reported that sometime between Aug. 1 at 9 p.m. and 7:50 a.m. on Aug. 2, an unknown person set some paper and a tennis ball on fire at the rear of their property. No damage was reported. No suspects have been determined in the case which police say is now being treated as criminal mischief.

Assault

Aug. 3 -- Woman reports injury: A 38-year-old female Wyoga Lake Road resident reported that an unknown black male that was previously yelling at her from another car, left his vehicle and punched her in the left side of the head while she was stopped at a traffic light at the intersection of Steels Corners and Wyoga Lake roads. The victim was bruised but refused medical treatment. The report states the victim would be willing to prosecute the assailant, but no leads or suspects have been found.

Breaking and entering

Aug. 3 -- Garage entered: A female Hillside Street resident reported someone entered her garage by forcing open the main door which was locked. There was no loss of property reported and no suspects in the incident.

Criminal Damaging

Aug. 3 -- Cars scratched: A used car dealership owner on Front Street reported that at some time between Aug. 1 and Aug. 3, someone used an unknown object to scratch six cars in the lot. The reported estimated damage is $2,400. The case is now inactive.

Aug. 4 -- Rock through car window: A female Bailey Road resident reported that unknown persons threw a rock through the rear window of her 2002 Chevy Cavalier. The estimated damage reported is $300, but nothing was reported missing. The incident was reported to have occurred between 1 and 6:30 a.m. Aug. 4. The case is now inactive.

Burglary

Aug. 3 -- About $460 of items reported taken: A man reported that an unknown female entered his Sackett Avenue residence with no sign of forced entry and removed several items valued at approximately $460. The incident occurred sometime between 7:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Aug. 3 while no one was home.

Theft

Aug. 4 -- Wallet reported stolen: A male Tifft Street resident reported that someone entered his unlocked 2000 Ford Ranger that was parked in his driveway and stole his wallet from the vehicle's center console. The wallet, valued at $31, contained six credit cards, the report stated.
