CUYAHOGA FALLS -- City Council races in the Sept. 12 primary are set, as candidates have filed their petitions with the Summit County Board of Elections by the 4 p.m. deadline June 14.
In the race for two Council At-Large seats, incumbents Jeff Iula and Carol Klinger, as well as Gary Deremer, Tim Gorbach, John Chapman and Andrew Welsh, filed for the two races. The two highest vote getters will ultimately be elected to the seat in the general election.

Deremer and Gorbach, both former members of the Council, are Democrats, as is Welsh, a newcomer.
Chapman, a former prosecutor for the city, is a Republican.
In Ward 1, Drew Reilly, a Democrat, and Anthony Malorni, a Republican, are running for election. The current incumbent, Vincent Rubino (D), will not seek re-election.
