With all 36 precincts reporting, the Cuyahoga Falls City School District renewal levy request has been approved 2,040 (76.32 percent)-633 (23.68 percent), according to final, but unofficial results from the Summit County Board of Elections.

The district sought passage of Issue 12, a five-year, 4.75-mill operating levy renewal for current expenses. This levy, which expires at the end of the year, was first approved in 2002, and renewed in 2007 and 2012.

The issue will continue generating $3.3 million per year for operating costs for the district's general fund. The levy costs a home valued at $100,000 $140.49 per year ($136.59 annually if the home is owner-occupied).

Strange, nowhere on my property tax bill is there a levy of 4.75. I guess this means that one of those 8 that are on my tax bill will increase to a higher amount.
