Death of Falls man found under train ruled suicide by county coroner

The death of a 19-year-old Cuyahoga Falls man whose body was found under a train at the Broad Boulevard railroad tracks April 21 was ruled a suicide by the county coroner.

The Cuyahoga Falls police and fire departments responded to a call of an accident involving a person and a train in that area at about 2:18 p.m. April 21. When safety forces arrived, a 19-year-old Falls man "was found under the train and unresponsive," according to a police report.

He was pronounced dead by a doctor at Akron General Hospital at 2:22 p.m.

Gary Guenther, chief investigator for the Summit County Medical Examiner's Office, told the Falls News-Press on April 27 that the death was ruled a suicide.
