The death of a 19-year-old Cuyahoga Falls man whose body was found under a train at the Broad Boulevard railroad tracks Friday is being investigated by the county coroner.
The Cuyahoga Falls police and fire departments responded to a call of an accident involving a person and a train in that area at about 2:18 p.m. Friday (April 21), according to a Falls police report. When safety forces arrived, a 20-year-old Falls man “was found under the train and unresponsive,” according to the report. He was pronounced dead by a doctor at Akron General Hospital at 2:22 p.m.
Gary Guenther, chief investigator for the Summit County Medical Examiner’s Office, told the Falls News-Press on Tuesday that the case is “still under investigation,” and a ruling has not been issued yet.
