°The Cuyahoga Falls Mayor's Youth Advisory Council is a collaboration between the Mayor's Office and the future leaders of Cuyahoga Falls. The purpose of the program is to encourage students to become active participants in their local government and community by working with city leaders to address issues that directly affect young people in the city. The panel will sit with the Mayor and various city departments to have open discussions about what matters most to them, how they would like to see the city move forward, and what role they can play to bring about change. The Mayor's Youth Advisory Council will be involved with City Council meetings to gain personal insight on how local government works.

The Mayor's Youth Advisory Council meetings will take place on the first and third Mondays of each month. The program will begin on Feb. 6, 2017, from 5:15 to 6:15 p.m., prior to City Council meetings. The meetings take place in the Natatorium Meeting Room. The group will serve for approximately four months. °

Applications and parental consent forms are due to the Mayor's Office, 2310 Second St., Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio 44221, by 4 p.m. on Dec. 23.
