On Sept. 28 at approximately 5:20 p.m., the Summit County Sheriff's Office SWAT Team and Crisis Negotiations Team responded to a residence on 3rd Street in Cuyahoga Falls in regards to a person who was barricaded in the residence with a female. Earlier that day, the Summit County Sheriff's Dispatch Center received an anonymous tip that an individual with an arrest warrant, identified as Hunter A. Edwards, was at the 3rd Street residence. The Cuyahoga Falls Police Department attempted to serve the arrest warrant on Edwards at the above residence. Edwards refused to come out and authorities determined he was in the residence with a female acquaintance.

Sheriff's personnel determined that the female was not being held against her will and attempted to get her to come out of the residence. Shortly thereafter, she exited the residence and met with authorities. After several attempts to contact Edwards, negotiators were able to reach him and begin negotiations. At approximately 8 p.m., Edwards surrendered.

A search warrant was conducted at the residence and marijuana was located and taken into evidence.

Edwards, 37, of Akron was taken into custody and transported to the Summit County Jail. Corinna A. Croskey, 44, of Cuyahoga Falls was arrested and charged with Resisting Arrest (M-2) and Obstructing Justice (F-5). She was transported to the Summit County Jail.
