Cory Lee Luster, 26, of Cuyahoga Falls has been charged with felonious assault after he allegedly hit a 19-year-old Akron resident with his car Aug. 6 at 1:45 a.m.

According to the Akron police report, the victim said Luster "hit him intentionally with his car" following an argument at 745 Roselawn Ave. Luster was "intoxicated" and was arguing with the victim's mother, who ordered him to leave, the arrest report stated. The victim says Luster partially backed out of the driveway, then drove through the front yard, hitting him in the hip. Luster then allegedly drove away.

The victim was taken to Akron City Hospital for treatment and released. Luster was arrested on Aug. 8 in Cuyahoga Falls and charged with the second-degree felony. He is free after posting 10 percent of a $5,000 bond. A status conference is scheduled Aug. 23 before Magistrate John H. Shoemaker.
