Cuyahoga Falls Board of Education slated to vote on resignation of head football coach

The Cuyahoga Falls Board of Education will have a busy day at its meeting on Monday, Feb. 11.

Among other items, the meeting agenda — which was released Friday — states the Board is slated to vote on the resignation of Cuyahoga Falls High School Head Football Coach Mike Miller.

The reason listed for his resignation on the agenda is that he is “now an administrator.” Miller was hired to work as a unit principal at the high school in September 2012, and continued his coaching duties during the past fall season.

If the resignation is approved, Miller’s resignation from the head coaching job and his position as football conditioning supervisor would go into effect Aug. 29, according to the agenda.

Miller declined to comment to the Cuyahoga Falls News-Press Thursday.

The Board is also slated to hear a presentation from Gordon Griffiths from the Cuyahoga Falls Foundation on the Tiger Trail project and will be asked to approved an amended appropriations resolution and a Memorandum of Understanding with Stark State College for online dual enrollment courses.

The meeting starts at 6 p.m. in the Cuyahoga Falls High School Library, 2300 Fourth St.
