New Cuyahoga Falls City Councilmember will be selected tonight

Published:

A new Cuyahoga Falls City Councilmember for Ward 5 is scheduled to be appointed tonight.

The Summit County Democratic Party will host a meeting Wednesday, Feb. 6, at 7 p.m. in the Nervous Dog Café meeting room, 4161 Steels Pointe in Stow.

The Democratic Precinct Committee for Ward 5 in Cuyahoga Falls will be responsible for making the appointment, said Megan Moreland, Summit County Democratic Party Executive Director.

Former Democratic Ward 5 Councilmember Diana Colavecchio resigned from her Council post Jan. 10 after she was appointed to replace Lisa Zeno Carano as the clerk of courts for Stow Municipal Court. Carano left the clerk's job after she took a position as court administrator with the Summit County Court of Common Pleas Probate Division.
