Silver Lake Village Council is considering renewing its trash removal contract with J&J Refuse, which recently became known as the Kimble Companies. On Monday night (Feb. 4), Village Council discussed the possibility of renewing the contract effective April 1 for a three-year term ending March 31, 2016. As proposed, the Village's Clerk-Treasurer Sean M. Housley, CPA, said there would be no increase in 2013, a 1.98 percent increase in 2014 and a 2.02 percent increase in 2015. Village Council is expected to revisit the proposal at its next meeting, Feb. 19, at 7 p.m. at village hall, 2961 Kent Road.
