Cuyahoga Falls City Council says good-bye to colleague

Cuyahoga Falls City Council on Monday night bid farewell to one of its colleagues who has served for seven years on the legislative body. Diana Colavecchio, a Democrat, resigned from her Ward 5 Council seat effective Jan. 10 after she was appointed to serve as the clerk of courts for Stow Municipal Court. Colavecchio said it would have been a conflict of interest to hold both positions. Council accepted her resignation at Monday night's meeting. An attorney, she said her husband, Paul, is taking over her law practice. After the meeting Council members embraced Colavecchio, who was seated in the crowd.
