A positive attitude towards self, family, and community is attained through developing an understanding of excellence and professionalism. This attitude will strengthen their character and better prepare them to meet the challenges of the future. Friendships and memories last a lifetime, for the students as well as the families themselves.

ETC was founded 39 years ago by Robert Heid and Robert Carlyon as an auxiliary music activity for elementary students in Stow. ETC is a non profit organization that depends on our donors and various fundraisers throughout the year.

Thanks to the generous support of foundations/donors such as GAR, Ritchie, Brennen Family, The Waddell Family, Akron Community Foundation, as well as the dedication of its directors, parents and students, ETC has grown to encompass over 160 students in grades 3 through 12 from a three-county area.
