Art center to host annual fundraising event Sept. 30

Cuyahoga Falls - Cuyahoga Valley Art Center (CVAC) will host its annual benefit dinner and auction at the Pavilion at Falls River Square on Sept. 30 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The Center, a longtime fixture in the Northeast Ohio art community, is a not-for-profit, tax-exempt corporation that holds its fundraising event to augment the support provided by its memberships, class tuitions, art exhibitions and grants.

"CVAC is a vital part of our community and this annual event allows it to continue fostering an interest in the arts throughout our region," said Noreen Molek, CVAC board president. "We're excited to gather again this year for what is sure to be a memorable and successful evening, featuring great food, entertainment, and most importantly, local art."

This year, the event will take on a "local community" theme. The Pavilion is the premier public gathering space in the city and is doors away from the Art Center. Catering will be by Cuyahoga Falls restauranteur, Moe's, and entertainment will be compliments of Falls Music School. The auction will feature items donated by many local businesses. The public is warmly invited to attend and feel the excitement that is alive at CVAC.
