Schnee hosts open house Aug. 15

Schnee Learning Center will host an open house for students entering grades 9 through 12 and their parents or guardians on Aug. 15 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Schnee Learning Center is located at 2222 Issaquah St., Cuyahoga Falls.

Any student may attend Schnee, an independent high school for grades 9 through 12. The school is tuition-free and is sponsored by the Cuyahoga Falls City School District. There are no uniforms, though there is a dress code. Learning relies heavily on technology, with multiple computer labs throughout the school. Individuality is respected and encouraged. The student body is cohesive.

"The school's personality is welcoming and accepting of students from all walks of life looking for an alternative to the traditional high school experience," said Dona Cardone, Executive Director of Schnee Learning Center.

At the open house, intake interviews and enrollment packets will be available for registration. Schnee is a Tier 1 public conversion community school.

The open house will take place in Room 135 at Schnee.
