CUYAHOGA FALLS -- The next festival to be staged on Front Street is a new one. Falls Downtown Fridays Taste of the Falls will take place on July 14, from 5-11 p.m.
Taste of the Falls is a celebration of local food, retail and music and will feature performances by Jay R. and The Fourons. The Cuyahoga Falls Farmers Market will be relocated to the riverfront from Quirk Cultural Center for this event and will begin at 4 p.m. There will be interactive activities for kids.
The event will take place at Falls River Square at Broad Boulevard, Riverfront Parkway and Front Street.
"Taste of the Falls is a phenomenal opportunity for us to showcase local businesses from restaurants to service providers that serve the community, right here in Cuyahoga Falls," stated Mayor Don Walters. "We are proud of our close-knit business community and how willing they are to play an active role in partnerships with the city. Business is better here in our city, and I want residents and visitors to come taste what we have to offer."
All proceeds from the sale of the alcohol will be donated to the Humane Society of Summit County. The Humane Society focuses on animal adoption services, cruelty and neglect investigations, and community education and outreach.
