Brookledge Golf Club Adult Lessons
The Cuyahoga Falls Parks and Recreation Department will offer adult group golf lessons at the Brookledge Golf Club this spring. Each lesson will meet once a week for five weeks from 6 to 7 p.m. There is a cost for each session, which includes range balls. All aspects of the golf game will be addressed by Brookledge Golf instructors Mike Meneer and Eric Madden.
Session I- Mondays, April 17 through May 15; and
Session II-Wednesdays, May 3 through May 31.

Bunny Hop at the Quirk Cultural Center
The Easter Bunny will be hopping by the Quirk Cultural Center on April 8 from 11a.m. to 1p.m. for an egg-stra special event. This holiday tradition includes a light lunch, keepsake photo, craft and an Easter treat bag. Reservations must be made in advance for both residents and non-residents. Space is limited, so be sure to register early. Seating will begin at 10:45 a.m. Those wishing to sit together should arrive together. Resident admission fee: child $12, adult $8. 61st annual Easter Egg Hunt at Water Works Park
Join friends and neighbors at Water Works Park on April 15 at 2 p.m. sharp for the Cuyahoga Falls Annual Easter Egg Hunt. This free event sponsored by the Parks and Recreation Department will include an egg and candy hunt, a visit from the Easter Bunny and a contest for the Best Decorated Eggs. The hunt for Easter eggs and candy will begin promptly at 2 p.m. Attendees should arrive before 2 p.m. to get a spot for the hunt. There will be separate hunt areas for children ages 3-4, 5-6, and 7-8, look for signs to locate the appropriate hunt area for your child. Judging for the Best Decorated Egg Contest will begin at 1:30 p.m., with divisions for ages 3-4, 5-6, 7-8 and family. Pre-decorated eggs should be brought in a container with the participant's name and division clearly marked. Be sure to bring your Easter basket and your camera for pictures with the Easter Bunny.
Sunday Funday Ballroom Dance
The Parks and Recreation Department is offering a Sunday Open Dance at the Quirk Cultural Center, 1201 Grant Ave. Looking for a chance to socialize with friends, meet new friends, and enjoy great music while trying out your dance moves? Then come to the Sunday Funday Ballroom Dance. Each evening begins with a dance lesson from 5-5:30 p.m. Then from 5:30-8 p.m. enjoy dancing to music for Latin, Swing, Ballroom, Tango and more. Attendees may bring their own snacks or beverages. This event will take placeApril 9. Singles and couples welcome. Pay at the door.
Working with essential oils class
The Parks and Recreation Department is offering an Essential Oils classes at the Quirk Cultural Center. All classes are on Thursdays from 6:30-8 p.m. Attendees will be introduced to all the healthy benefits of using 100 percent pure essential oils. The instructor will discuss the proper ways of using the oils and why to use them.
April 13, Cooking with Essential Oils: Discuss safety while using essential oils when you cook. Receive cooking recipes that include essential oils and try some treats!
May 11, Make 100 percent All Natural Perfumes: Join the class for a discussion and then make and take. Participants will be using pure essential oils as they make their own perfume.
June 8, Balance Your Emotions with Essential Oils: Learn ways and reasons to use certified pure therapeutic grade essential oils.
July 13, Become Essentially Well: Join the class for a make and take workshop using certified pure therapeutic grade essential oils. Learn how to use them safely and choose to make roller balls that will benefit your body.
Aug. 10, Essential Moods: Bring about change in your moods as you use all natural essential oils.
Ballroom dance lessons offered new session
The Parks and Recreation Department is offering the following ballroom dance lessons at the Quirk Cultural Center. All classes are taught in a progressive format, each series covering one dance for four weeks. To see what dances are being taught that session go to www.dancerinyou.com. Singles and couples are welcome, ages teen-adult. Pay at the door, no pre-registering needed. New session begins Thursday, April 6-27.
Beginner Ballroom- Will get participants up and dancing the basics of dances, like Foxtrot, Waltz, Swing, Rumba and more. Have fun, get some exercise and be ready for social functions that include dancing. 6:30-7:15 p.m.
Intermediate Ballroom-This class will expand participants' repertoire and technical level on a wide variety of Ballroom, Latin and Swing dances. Dance with confidence and get noticed on the dance floor. 7:15-8 p.m.
Intermediate Argentine Tango- This class will expand participants' repertoire of the most beautiful and passionate dance in the world. This is the original Tango, from Buenos Aires, and seen in the movies. 8-8:45 p.m.
Adult ballet classes new session
The Parks and Recreation Department is offering Adult Ballet lessons at the Quirk Cultural Center. Come join the fun, meet new people, and get some exercise. These classes are designed to promote good posture, self-confidence, and grace, while teaching students how to strengthen and protect their bodies from injury. The classes will consist of traditional ballet barre, stretching exercises and mild ballet center floor combinations. All classes are four-week sessions with new Tuesday sessions beginning April 4 and running through April 25 and Thursday sessions beginning April 6 and running through April 27. Tuesday classes are Intermediate, 9-10:15 a.m., Intermediate 6-7 p.m., and Beginner 7:15-8:15 p.m. Thursday class is Beg./Int. from 9-10 a.m. All class fees must be paid at first class.
New session! Dance and gymnastics classes for youth
For kids who like to move, and parents who don't want to spend a fortune on gymnastics classes, the Parks and Recreation Department will offer a new session of Saturday dance and gymnastics classes beginning April 8 and running through May 13 at the Quirk Cultural Center. Contact the Parks and Recreation Office for fee information. The following classes are being offered:
Pre Ballet (ages 4-6) 9 9:45 a.m.
Tap, Tumbling and Jazz I (ages 4-6) 9:45 10:45 a.m.
Tap, Tumbling and Jazz II (ages 6-8) 10:45 11:45 a.m.
Gymnastics I (ages 6-12) noon - 1 p.m.
Gymnastics II (ages 6-12) 1 - 2 p.m.
Beginner Ballet (ages 6-8) 2 2:45 p.m.

Belly dancing fitness classes - new session
The Parks and Recreation Department is offering Belly dancing fitness classes at the Quirk Cultural Center. Come join the fun, meet new people, and get some exercise. Two classes are offered, the beginner class consists of low impact dancing set to authentic Middle Eastern music in a supportive atmosphere. The intermediate class is for those familiar with the basics or who are looking for more of a challenge. All classes are four-week sessions held on Monday evenings with a new session beginning on Monday, April 3 and running through April 24, beginners class 6-7 p.m. and intermediate class 7-8 p.m. Pre-registration is required.
