Akron Pops Orchestra SpringConcert -- free
The Cuyahoga Falls Parks and Recreation Department invites community members to spend an evening with the Akron Pops Orchestra, under the direction of Kristan Crane on March 23 at 7:30 p.m. at the Quirk Cultural Center, 1201 Grant Ave. The concert is free.
Senior Safety,Identity Theft
A program for senior adults, or anyone 50 and up, to help keep one's identity safe will take place at the Quirk Cultural Center on March 14 at 10 a.m.
This 45-minute discussion will include issues on how people can prevent common frauds and types of elder financial exploitation in the community.
A bank representative will be leading the program with an information booklet for participants to take home included.
This is free and snacks will be provided.
New, monthly card making
Every month you can create five different cards. Supplies included.
All you need to bring is your scissors and some adhesives.
March class is scheduled for March 23 from 7 to 9 p.m.
Cards with the Easter/Spring theme are on display at the Quirk Cultural Center where class takes place. Pre - registration is required with a fee. A class fee is payable to instructor at time of registration (includes all supplies).
New Way of Acting through Play Workshop
Parents have to plan ahead and here it is for the upcoming spring break-a new workshop for students to use imagination. Wandering Aesthetics uses play-based education to help students learn through imagination, physical and vocal exploration and experimentation.
On March 29 there are four workshops for every age: Let's Play for 2 °-5 years, Tall Tales for ages 6-9, The Power of Myth, ages 10 13 and Folk Tales from Around the World for ages 14 and up.
The program will take place at the Quirk Cultural Center and pre-registration is required.
There is a fee per person.
