Cuyahoga Falls Library will offer a Fine Forgiveness program for cardholders from Feb. 20 (beginning at 1 p.m.) to Feb.26. During this week only, all accumulated overdue fees will be waived, regardless of the amount. Overdue materials returned in good condition will also be removed from patron records.
"This is an opportunity for residents to reconnect with their library," said Library Director Valerie Kocin.
To take advantage of this offer, visit the library's circulation desk between Feb. 20 (library opens at 1 p.m.) and Feb. 26. Staff will review your account and remove all fines for overdue items. If your card was blocked, it will be reactivated and you can begin using it again immediately. This offer does not apply to replacement costs for lost/damaged items, material recovery fees, previously paid fines, or items from other library systems.
The forgiveness program was approved by the library's Board of Trustees as an effort to recover materials and welcome back lapsed users of all ages.
Customer Appreciation Week at the library will also include free coffee on the afternoon of Feb. 21 and free cookies on the afternoon of Feb. 23. Replacement library cards will be available at no cost throughout the week.
