Fall wreath

Adults need some creative time too so why not sign up for a fall wreath class?

The wreath is a grape vine accented with fall color leaves and animal print flowers.

Class will take place Oct. 15 from 10 a.m. to noon. There is a small registration fee and a class fee which includes all supplies and instruction payable to instructor at time of registration.

essential oils class

The Cuyahoga Falls Parks and Recreation Department is offering,°Working with Essential Oils classes at the Quirk Cultural Center, 1201 Grant Ave.

Three different classes are offered this fall. Participants will be introduced to all the healthy benefits of using 100 percent pure essential oils and they will discuss the proper ways of using the oils and why to use them.

Having essential oils in the home is a great first line of defense for all types of aliments. For more information and class fees, call the Parks and Recreation Office at 330-971-8225. Preregistration is required.

Rollerballs for Kids: This class is for anyone who has children in their lives. Come learn more about essential oils and make a natural rollerball blend for: protection from seasonal elements, soothing occasional skin irritations, supporting immune function, promoting restful sleep, focus and more. Oct. 13, 6:30 to 8 p.m.

Rollerball for Babies and Mamas: Make natural rollerball blends for: easing discomfort of baby's new teeth, respiratory and digestive support, mama mood support and support for breastfeeding moms. Nov. 17, 6:30 to 8 p.m.

Ballroom dance

lessons offered - new session

The Parks and Recreation Department is offering the following ballroom dance lessons at the Quirk Cultural Center.

All classes are taught in a progressive format, each series covering one dance for four weeks. To see what dances are being taught that session go to www.dancerinyou.com. Singles and couples are welcome, ages teen-adult. Pay at the door, no pre-registering needed. New session begins Oct. 13 and runs through Nov. 10.

Beginner Ballroom- Will get participants up and dancing the basics of dances, like Foxtrot, Waltz, Swing, Rumba and more. 6:30 to 7:15 p.m.

Intermediate Ballroom-This class will expand participants' repertoire and technical level on a wide variety of Ballroom, Latin and Swing dances. Dance with confidence and get noticed on the dance floor. 7:15 to 8 p.m.

Intermediate Argentine Tango- This class will expand participants' repertoire of the most beautiful and passionate dance in the world. This is the original Tango. 8 to 8:45 p.m.

Belly dancing

fitness class - new session

The Parks and Recreation Department is offering a belly dancing fitness class at the Quirk Cultural Center.

This beginner class consists of low impact dancing set to authentic Middle Eastern music in a supportive atmosphere. All classes are four-week sessions take place on Monday evenings with a new session beginning Oct. 17 and running through Nov. 14 (no class Oct. 31) from 7 to 8 p.m. Pre-registration is required.
