The Cuyahoga Falls City School District will have a monthly event for active adults highlighting educational opportunities in the schools. Active adults are residents of the community that are 55 years and older. Each month, a different building will host the free event incorporating various themes and activities. Members of the community are highly encouraged to attend as many events as possible throughout the year. The monthly schedule is as follows:
Sept. 30 at 1:30 p.m. Lincoln Elementary -- Lincoln Leaders Every Day -- Meal and Presentations
The Lincoln fourth- and fifth-grade student representatives will emcee the entire event and demonstrate how they are Lincoln Leaders every day. Students will explain their leadership roles and responsibilities including specific jobs, service learning projects, and Tiger TRAILS. Active adults will then enjoy a free meal catered by Chef Bill Bailey that includes a salad, chicken breast with a tomato and herb sauce, vegetable medley, rice and a cookie for dessert. Attendees will listen to student presentations from each grade level promoting technology and innovation in the classroom at stations around the gymnasium.
Active adults interested in attending the Lincoln event may RSVP by completing the registration form on the district website and returning it to Lincoln Elementary or call 330-926-3803 by Sept. 20. Registration details for future monthly events will be announced by the respective building at a later date. Check the district website for further details at www.cfalls.org.
