Apple iPad Class

Sept. 6, 7 p.m.: New iPad users are invited to learn about device settings and useful apps. Bring your charged iPad. Register in person, online, or by calling 330-928-2117.

AAII Meeting

Sept. 6, 7 p.m.: The American Association of Individual Investors is a nonprofit organization with about 150,000 members whose purpose is to educate individual investors regarding stock market portfolios, financial planning, and retirement accounts. Meetings are free and open to the public.

Expanded Medicaid and the Affordable Care Act

Sept. 7, 6:30 p.m.: Learn about the Affordable Care Act and its impact on the expansion of Medicaid. Medicaid provides health coverage to millions of Americans, including eligible low-income adults, children, pregnant women, elderly adults and people with disabilities. Presented by AxessPointe Community Health Center.

The Beatles: Off the Record

Sept. 7, 7 p.m.: Enjoy the music of local acoustic guitarist Rick Iacoboni as he plays interpretations of The Beatles' most popular songs. Hear fascinating behind-the-scenes stories about how The Beatles composed, recorded and performed their songs. Learn how these innovative musicians revolutionized the music industry. Free.

Teen Advisory Board

Sept. 8, 4 p.m.: Members plan programs for other teens, select books, movies, and music for the teen collection, and work towards making this library a fun and safe place for other teens to come and enjoy. Anyone in grades 6 to 12 is welcome to join.

Play and Stay

Sept. 9, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.: Join us for an open-ended Early Childhood education program with sensory toys, new learning experiences, and audiovisual adaptations of outstanding children's books. Includes a light snack. Suitable for kids up to age 5 and their caregivers.

Haiku Study Group

Sept. 10, 10 a.m.: The Haiku Society of America will facilitate a study group for the purpose of introducing new writers to haiku and encouraging others in their pursuit to become stronger readers and writers of contemporary English-language haiku. The group is open to anyone from beginners to seasoned haiku poets.

Story Times

Free story times begin Sept. 12 and continue through Nov. 10. Registration is not required.

/ Monday: Rock-a-bye Tales (6 to 24 months), 9:30 a.m.; Tales Alive for 2s to 5s, 10:15 a.m. and 11 a.m.; Family Story Times for all ages, 6:30 p.m.

/ Tuesday: Rock-a-bye Tales, 9:30 am; Tales Alive, 10:15 p.m.

/ Wednesday: Tales Alive, 10:15 a.m.

/ Thursday: Rock-a-bye Tales, 9:30 a.m.; Tales Alive, 10:15 a.m.

Library Closed

Sept. 5: The library will be closed in observance of Labor Day.
