The Beatles: Off the Record
Sept. 7, 7 p.m.: Enjoy the music of local acoustic guitarist Rick Iacoboni as he plays interpretations of The Beatles' most popular songs. Teen Advisory Board
Sept. 8, 4 p.m.: Members plan programs for other teens, select books, movies, and music for the teen collection, and work towards making this library a fun and safe place for other teens to come and enjoy. Anyone in grades 6 to 12 is welcome to join.
Play and Stay
Sept. 9, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.: Join us for an open-ended Early Childhood education program with sensory toys, new learning experiences, and audiovisual adaptations of outstanding children's books. Includes a light snack. Suitable for kids up to age 5 and their caregivers.
Haiku Study Group
Sept. 10, 10 a.m.: The Haiku Society of America will facilitate a study group for the purpose of introducing new writers to haiku and encouraging others in their pursuit to become stronger readers and writers of contemporary English-language haiku. The group is open to anyone from beginners to seasoned haiku poets.
Free story times begin Sept. 12 and continue through Nov. 10. Registration is not required.
