To mark the expansion of Pallotta's Bakery, located at 2120 Byrd Ave., Cuyahoga Falls, owner Michael Pallotta had the kitchen blessed by a Catholic priest. On Nov. 29, Fr. Burba of St. Anthony's Church in Akron, visited Pallotta's, sprinkled holy water and prayed for the business and its workers and customers. Pictured are, from left, Councilman Victor Pallotta, Mike Pallotta, Michael Pallotta, Fr. Burba, Mayor Don Walters and Richard Pallotta. Brothers Mike and Richard Pallotta, Michael's father and uncle, respectively, are the former owners of Crest Bakery on North Main Street in Akron. Also in attendance at the kitchen blessing were Diane Sheridan, the city's community development director; two nuns from the church; Councilman Russ Iona; and a member of the Cuyahoga Falls Chamber of Commerce.
